Travancore Royal Family in 2010 : Interview visuals of Sri Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma (born 22 March 1922- is the present titular Maharaja of Travancore since 1991 and head of the Travancore Royal Family) by Doordarshan.The history of Travancore begins with Marthanda Varma who inherited the kingdom of Venad, and expanded it into Travancore during his reign 1729-- 1758.

Travancore Maharaja on Temple Treasure : What will become of the treasure worth one lakh crores that's been discovered at Kerala's Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple? Sri. Padmanabha swamy temple arattu -Richest temple in the world : Sri Padmanabha swamy temple situated in the heart of Kerala's capital, Trivandrum, This temple belongs to the royal family of Travancore kings,.The temple is a massive stone structure built way back in the time of Marthanda varma, who ruled Travancore. The holy bath to the deity is known as "ARATU", the idols are taken out on pallak and and carried by the the priests on their shoulders to far off beach Shankgumukhom. And after holy dip the idols r taken back. A huge crowd always present to watch the arattu procession . its a major tourist attraction and remains of royal time. Sree Moolam Thirunal Rama Varma's summer palace at Kuttikkanam : This is an ancient summer palace built by the Maharaja of Travancore in the traditional Nalukettu style. Me and friends used to swim in the pool associated with it and also exlored the secret passage that leads from the palace to some unknown place. Now the passage is sealed.

Aksharaslokam Videos : Akshara Slokam (അക്ഷര ശ്ലോകം) is a traditional way of Sloka chanting, a poetic entertainment developed in the Malayalam (മലയാളം) language of Kerala, India. It is in a classical format with strict rules on the meter of quatrains called slokas or mukthaka. A number of scholars sit to recite either Sanskrit or Malayalm slokas ( with more than eight letters in a line ). Once the recitation is started the next one in the turn has to recite a sloka having the first letter of the third line of the previous sloka.

Swathi Sangeethotsavam : Swathi Sangeethotsavam is an annual classical music festival celebrated in honour of Maharaja Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma (1813 - 1846) the great poet king of the erstwhile Travancore dynasty. This seven day festival is held annually from January 6 to 12 at the 'Kuthira Malika' palace at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India where the king himself composed many of his musical gems.
